SMART MATERIALS 3D – SMARTFIL®

Smart Materials 3D, our partner located in Alcalá la Real, Spain, specializes in the production of biodegradable materials using recycled resources. They conserve resources by utilizing and recycling waste, thus reducing their impact on the environment. The polymer base is derived from sugarcane and forms a 100% oil-free plastic. This base, for example, is then combined with waste from olive stones and further processed into 3D printing filament.

#TIDE OCEAN MATERIAL® – rPET

ENGA® collaborates with #tide ocean material® and uses their ocean-bound recycled plastics. For example, our 3D printers at ENGA are fed with the #tide ocean material recycled PET filament. It contains 50% ocean-bound recycled PET, and 50% industrial multilayer recycled PET-G. Other material and processes are in current development.

Utilizing innovative 3D-printing technology powered by solar energy, the ENGA® DOMO displays intricate design while minimizing its environmental impact through local production in Biel, Switzerland. This sustainable piece adds a warm and inviting ambiance to any interior.

Due to the compostability of the materials, we recommend using the ENGA® DOMO for indoor applications.
